When does GTA 6 come out?
The current official console release date is Thursday, 19 November 2026. The date applies to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Retailers and both console stores are accepting eligible pre-orders.

Latest official update
Rockstar published an extended gameplay presentation on 27 August 2026, less than three months before the scheduled console launch. Buyers should still follow official Rockstar and console-store pages for any date or availability change.
When can players preload?
A preload schedule is not listed here because platform timings can change and may differ by region. Digital buyers should check the product page in their console library close to release. Physical buyers depend on retailer dispatch and delivery.
